Recipe:
- 150 ml of milk
- 1 large spoonful of sugar
- 2 large spoons of yeast
- 2 small teaspoons of salt
- 150 ml of yogurt
- 100 ml of oil
- 300 ml of warm water
- 800 g of flour
Preparation:
Combine the warm milk, sugar and yeast and let it rise for 5 minutes.
In another container, put flour, salt, oil, yogurt, then add the rising yeast, add warm water a little at a time and knead the dough. The dough should be thinner than for bread and stick to your hands.
Leave to rise.
Place the risen dough on a floured work surface and separate the dough pieces. I made 7 pieces from this quantity.
Dip each piece of dough in flour, i.e. form a ball.
Transfer the balls to baking paper and leave them to rise for 5-10 minutes.
When they have arrived, press them with a wet hand, i.e. spread them into a bun shape, make sarees with a knife or some other object, then coat them with yogurt and sprinkle with churukota (black cumin).
Bake them in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 10 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Wrap the hot buns in a cloth to soften them.
